No need for the Introduction of the Former Indian Captain M S Dhoni. Since he is the legend of the International cricket, who serves Indian cricket team since 2004. The Wicket-Keeper batsman has represented India in many ICC trophy and played his last match against England in 2019 World Cup. After the World Cup, he first missed out West Indies tour and then entire home series. Dhoni was last seen with the CSK camp practicing for the IPL 2020. But due to corona-virus crises the Sports activities have been extended till further notice by the BCCI.

Since Dhoni has served Indian cricket for more than a decade. He made and breaks many records with his performance in the International cricket. Moreover, he can make a comeback in International cricket on the basis of his IPL 2020.

No of Odi runs with an average of above 50.


Dhoni is on the fifth spot on the list of most runs for India. Till his last Odi match he scored 10,773 runs in ODI cricket with an averages of 50.6 in 297 innings. If Dhoni returns to the International cricket he can surpassed Rahul dravid and Sourav Ganguly as he is just 116 and 590 runs behind Dravid and Ganguly. However, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar presently sits at the top spot on the list of most runs for India- followed by Virat Kohli (11,867) and Sourav Ganguly (11,363).

Two Matches Short for Completing 100 T20s


Dhoni is just two matches short of becoming the second Indian player to play 100 T20Is. He played 98 T20 matches and in 85 innings he scored 1,617 runs a an average of 37.6. Rohit Sharma who known for his super-hit batting style top the list with 108 T20 matches in which he scored 2,773 runs at an average of 32.6. If he returns to International Cricket he can achieve this record. 

However, the list is topped by Pakistan's batsman  Shoaib Malik, who has played 113 T20Is in which he scored 2,321 at an average of 31.4. He hasn't retired from T20 format of cricket as he wants to play T20 World cup, which will Scheduled to be take place in 2020 and 2021.

Ten Caps Short for Completing 200 IPL Matches.


Dhoni, the second-most capped player in IPL and for Chennai Super Kings, is just 10 matches short from playing 200 IPL matches. Currently Suresh Raina leads ahead of Dhoni in no of matches played
in IPL. Since 2007 debut Suresh Raina has played 193 IPL matches for his CSK franchise. But, due
to the coronavirus pandemic the leaque is postponed by the BCCI.


Wicket-keeper decmisial


Dhoni can achieved the record of most dismissal by an wicket-keeper batsman in an Odi cricket, if he returns to the International cricket. 

The Sri- Lankan wicket-keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara hold the records of most dismissal in Odi carrer. The Sri- Lankan batsman has serves his team for 404 matches in which he dismissed 482 players in his 15 years carrer.

MS Dhoni is the third in the list of most no of dismissal by any wicket-keeper. The Wicket-keeper batsman is just short of 38 dismissal of attaining at top Position in the ICC records list.

However, Dhoni has the records of fastest stumping in just 0.08 seconds. which he achieved in Melbourne cricket ground (Australia) in 2016. 


Most No of Catches in ODI


Returning of Dhoni in an International cricket can break the records of most no of catches by any wicket-keeper batsman in an Odi format.

Currently, the record is with the Australian legend Adam Gilchrist with 417 catches in just 281 innings. followed by South Africa Batsman Mark Boucher and Sri Lankan Batsman Kumar Sangakkara with 402 and 383 catchess in their Odi International Carrer.

MS Dhoni is just 96 catches away to attain the no one position, with fourth in the list of attaining most no of catches Dhoni played 350 maches.
